Our marketplace platform helps law firms and pro se parties access more efficient, transparent, and accessible legal services that are not traditionally available to everyone. We currently support over 3,000 law firms throughout the US, as well as countless pro se parties.

This position is full time onsite in downtown Detroit.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an individual to join our team who possesses the below skills, strives for accuracy in their work, and understands how critical it is to be detail-oriented and precise in this role. This individual must be organized, responsible, take pride in their work, and have a professional demeanor. Must be able to multitask, think critically, and have exceptional attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in creating, editing, and preparing affidavits of service and nonservice. Certain affidavits will also be generated for electronic filing. This role involves performing a detailed review and editing of service of process affidavits for accuracy, completeness, spelling, and grammar in a timely manner. 

  • Ensure documents are in compliance with state and federal rules and guidelines
  • Strive for the highest overall quality and accuracy in their work product
  • Maintain a high level of detail-oriented work

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain structure and order in tasks and projects
  • Highly communicative and responsive in all interactions
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for accuracy
  • Consistently professional, kind, and polite in demeanor and interactions
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and across various departments
  • Ability to manage stress and remain composed in a dynamic environment
  • Strong people-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to independently source and resolve issues before escalating
  • Capable of managing and adapting to constant changes in job responsibilities and processes
  • Prior experience in a remote work environment is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Experience writing and editing legal briefs, legal documents, and affidavits is preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $21 - $24 per hour, plus overtime based on experience and location
  • Eligible to participate in company bonus plan
  • Full-time, onsite in Detroit, MI, hourly position
